The Grave That Never Dried – A Touching Love Story







A very sick woman lay in her bed, her strength fading. She turned to her husband and asked softly:


"Honey, how long would it take for you to marry another woman if I die?"


The husband looked at her with love in his eyes and replied:


"Honestly, my love, I would only consider marrying someone else when your grave is completely dry."


A few days later, the woman passed away. Heartbroken, the husband began visiting her grave every single day. Rain or shine, he came without fail.


Fifteen years passed, and strangely, the grave always remained wet.


One evening, as he made his usual visit, he saw someone at the grave—his brother-in-law, holding an empty bucket.


Surprised, he called out, "Hey James! What are you doing here?"


James looked up and calmly replied, "I'm here to fulfill my sister's wish."


The husband blinked, confused. "What wish?" he asked.

James smiled sadly and said, "She told me to come here every day and pour water on her grave... until I die."
